Where to begin....

*Disclaimer: if you can't handle hearing about bodily fluids then this post isn't for you. Just skip it.

Today has been "one of those days". Let me just say that before I had a child and mothers would tell me stories about their little ones I always wondered how they did it. How did they handle not being in control of the situation? How did they stomach all the gross things their kids did? Then I would think, oh my child will NOT do that. I will have a well behaved little angel that doesn't do gross stuff. Then I had Crue. Let me start at the beginning. My mom watched Crue for me today and when I picked him up she said, "Shan I think Crue's constipated so you might want to give him some water or put him in a warm bath to get his bowels moving". I kind of brushed this comment off because I knew he would eventually go, he always does. Now I have said in the past that bathtime was my favorite time of day....that changed tonight. Usually we take Crue out of the tub, wrap him up in his towel, and play with him for a minute before we dress him and get him ready for bed. Well tonight was no different. Took him out, wrapped him up, played with him. I then realized we forgot to grab the lotion out of his room so Mike went to grab it. As he is doing this I notice that Crue's face is really red and it looks like he's pooping. I open up the towel to check and sure enough that's what's happening. Great. I'm completely grossed out and am yelling for Mike to come help me. The moment Mike opens the bathroom door he's like, "that is disgusting, I can't handle the smell Shan I'm going to throw up". He shuts the door and leaves. Awesome. So I proceed to clean up this mess. Well I've almost got it under control when I notice that Crue's face is all wet. Yep he was peeing. So I use my hand to stop it from getting everywhere and as I'm doing this he starts to poop again. At this point I'm laughing because I'm so grossed out it was either that or start crying. So I wait a second to make sure he's done and once again proceed to clean him up. I call for Mike to come in and start the bath water again because let's face it, at this point he's not clean anymore. So poor Mike sucks it up long enough to start the bath water and then, you guessed it, he leaves. Don't worry he will pay for this later :). So I'm playing with Crue waiting for the water to fill up and for the third time he starts pooping! Lovely. Then he starts to pee again. All I can think is, "you've got to be kidding me". So once agan I use my hand to stop it from spraying everywhere. You may be wondering why I didn't just throw the towel over him at the beginning of this whole situation and wait till he was finished. Well the answer is simple. With all those bodily fluids coming at me my brain stopped working and I went it to panic mode. The only thought in my head was don't let any of this get on me! Anway I was finally able to get him in the bathtub for the 2nd time that night and the moment he got out I strapped that diaper on him before he could move a muscle. Needless to say he will not longer be allowed to just chill in the towel.

Below are some cute photos of my handsome little man (these are more for my benefit than yours....remind myself why I love him so much!)

hahaha! so funny! It never stops...Andrew is 2 and the other day he decided it would be ok to poop in the bath tub...and I'm a horrible mom and didn't realize it until the water was draining.
