Chalk Walk

One busy week!
Since I have so many pictures and I dont want this post to be forever long I'm going to try to do a quick recap of our week! Last Friday we went to dinner and the chalk walk at the Gateway with our good friends the Newmans. They have a little boy that is 3 months younger than Crue and I can't wait 'til they get a little older and can play together (or get into trouble together which I'm sure will be the case with these 2). That night we took Crue up to my moms house so she could watch him while we went to Powell with Mike's family and the Barkdulls. It was hard to leave the little guy and I missed him a lot but it was a nice break and Mike and I had so much fun not having to worry about him. However, I felt bad that Mike had to spend his first fathers day away from his boy. I hope he knows that, even though we didn't really get to celebrate being on the lake and all, we really love and appreciate him and all he does for our family. Mike really is a hard worker. I love ya babe. Anyway when we got home on Thursday we were so excited to see Crue but apparently he wasn't too excited to see us. When we came through the door and he saw Mike he just started crying! It was so sad. He would stop crying as long as my mom held him but he didn't want to be around us. Thank goodness that didn't last too long and now he is happy to be home with his parents! Well because I felt guilty for leaving him we decided to go to the zoo the next day. We went with my friend Aubrey, her husband, and their cute little girl Jayda. I realize the kids were probably a little young but we had fun anyways! On Saturday while Mike was working in the yard Crue and I went to breakfast and the farmers market in SLC with my mom and grandparents. I can't believe how crowded the market was, I can't wait to go again next week though!

6 Months
We had Crue's 6 month appointment today and I wasn't at all suprised to find out that he was in the 20th percentile for height (25.5 in.) and weight (16 lbs). He's so tiny still but I'm hoping he might have a growth spurt soon now that he's eating baby food. Some new things Crue has been doing lately are holding on to the side of the couch and standing there by himself, when put into the sitting position he will sit there for quite awhile, he's definitely talking and screaming a lot more, and he is learning how to throw tantrums.! Yay! My mom actually noticed this last little trait while I was at her house yesterday. Apparently I have been babying my child. In my defense he has been sick with a runny nose, pink eye, and a cough(all of which he so loving passed to me) so when he would cry I would pick him up and try to comfort him because I knew he didn't feel very well. Anyway while I was over at my moms he started to scream while he was just sitting there with his toys and my mom looked at me and said, "thats a fake scream, do not pick him up just see what he does". Sure enough a few seconds later he was totally fine and found a new toy to play with. This scenario went on for a little while: he'd scream, we would ignore him, he would find something else to entertain him, he would get bored and....repeat. I do love my little buddy though, even when he is naughty and throws tantrums. Here are some random pictures in no particular order:
Crue LOVES his walker
Here he is throwing one of his tantrums (arched back and everything)
This pic was taken about 2 seconds before the one above
Crue loves hanging out with his Uncle Zane
Not sure what's going on here...
Nap time has turned into play time now that he knows how to roll over
